WHO I WORK WITH

I specialize in individual and group therapy services for children, adolescents, and parents. My services are currently available to youth in preschool through 8th grade. Ongoing clients who began therapy by 8th grade sometimes continue into high school. In addition, I work individually with parents and caregivers to provide guidance and support with stress and challenges related to parenting.

I CAN HELP WITH...

  • Attention difficulties and ADHD

  • Behavior problems

  • Anger and aggression

  • Anxiety, fears, phobias

  • School refusal

  • Grief and loss

  • Stress and adjustment problems

  • Parenting challenges

HOW I WORK

Trained in combined-integrated psychotherapy, I use a variety of approaches drawn from clinical and counseling psychology. This flexibility allows me to personalize the therapy experience to meet each individual's needs. Methods I most often use are behavioral and cognitive techniques, play therapy, and humanistic approaches.

My work is also guided by my background in developmental psychology. I believe that a strong caregiver-child relationship serves as a foundation for positive growth. Having an understanding of how your child’s development relates to their challenges can benefit this relationship. I strive to help parents gain the skills and knowledge they need to confidently support their children.

AS A THERAPIST, MY GOALS ARE TO:

  • Promote children's understanding and awareness of their own emotions

  • Foster children's skills for managing their behavioral and emotional challenges

  • Provide caregivers with support, guidance, and training in strategies to help them overcome parenting challenges
